Situated on the north coast of Spain not far from France, with gorgeous beaches and a seaside feel San Sebastian provides an excellent backdrop for students who want to come to Spain to study.
Close by is Pamplona, Bilbao and the French Basque coast for daily excursions. The dialect of Spanish spoken in San Sebastian is said to be very clear and closer to that of the traditional Spanish accent, making this an excellent place for students to come and learn Spanish, whilst also having the potential to pick up some of the local Basque language.
In San Sebastian students can attend the University of the Basque Country, which has an internationally known engineering facility, among other universities such as the FECYT for those looking for technological degrees.
