Located approximately 80km to the south of Frankfurt it is described as being at the heart of Europe. It is the epitome of Germanys past and present.

It is Germany’s oldest town honoured for its painters, poets, victim of war and religion. Heidelberg is steeped in history, has decorative architecture and surrounded by beautiful scenery.



Although it is relatively small it has a large pedestrian zone making it very accessible and enjoyable to travel on foot, great for students who will not have access to cars, motorbikes etc. However if you are the lazy type then do not worry as there is a lot of public transport in Heidelberg as well such as the tram or bus.

Heidelberg has accommodates many students with a figure of almost 1 in 5 of the population just students creating a buzzing atmosphere throughout the city.
